1) On March 12th Gary turned 30! I can't believe it! In the morning I decided to do a treasure hunt for Gary which had 30 clue's he had to find around the house. He had a lot of fun with it. Here are some pictures I took of him.
For this big milestone in his life I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party. I had one of our friends distract him while I got everything together for the surprise. All of his friends came early and then we patiently waited for him to come home. When he walked through the door he was speechless. He had a real good time and it was a nice party.
2) We finally got all the walls installed in our library so the next step is to paint the room which we did soon after.
3) We painted our library this beautiful nice orangy color.

4) There was a possibility earlier in the month that Gary could go to Belgium for a business trip, but nothing was confirmed until the end of March I believe. Also, around this time we got a HUGE escrow check since our property tax went down.
5) With this extra cash we were able to pay off our new car which was totally awesome!! We have been so blessed!
6) With the rest of the money we decided to do something crazy and pay for a plane ticket for me to go to Europe with Gary and make it a week long trip! I suppose we should of been responsible and paid off some more of our debt, but this was once in a lifetime event and we didn't want to miss out on the chance. Now we didn't know for sure if this was at all possible since Gary had to confirm it at work, but I was really praying that it would happen.
7) Once it was okay'd with work the travel agent arranged for my ticket as well as Gary's ticket the same day so we could go on the same flight. We literally only had like 2 weeks to figure out our plans for our trip which was definitely not enough time! I will post more on our Europe trip later.
8) Our garden is coming along nicely. We still have a lot of work to do on it, but it is looking better then last year.
9) This last week we painted our living room a nice color green and tore out the carpet to reveal a beautiful hardwood floor they covered. It will need to be refinished, but that will have to wait for awhile.
10) We still need to put up the trim and floorboards. Pictures will come soon.

Wow, I can't believe Gary just hit the big "30"! The boys said to give him 30 spankings! I can't to hear more about your trip to Europe!
