Wedding Anniversary Celebration!

This year we celebrated our 14th anniversary! I can't believe that next year it will be 15 years! Time sure does fly by when your having fun. In years past our tradition was to attend the Temple and either do a session or just take a picture on the Temple grounds. We weren't able to do a session this year, but I wanted to get some pictures taken with the family. It was a little different this year since we are living in Mexico City, but it was still a special experience.

Mexico City Temple!

I love this picture of Aurora and I touching the Temple together. It was just a sweet moment.

The visitor center next door is where we took this picture. A nice sister missionary took several pictures of us.

A nice family photo in front of the Christus!

I love this photo of Aurora looking up at the statue.

Gary got me some roses for our anniversary!

Here are some random photos of what we have done recently. I found a nest of baby hummingbirds in our garden! :)

We took Aurora to the Aquarium by our house for the first time. She loved it!

Shark!

Having fun with the fishes!

Zacatlan Part 2

While here we visited the Martinez family that Gary knew when he served his mission. Brother Martinez use to be the branch president, but has been suffering from cancer for several years. His wife is a nurse so ever since she retired she has been taking care of him. I can imagine that it has been very hard on her and her family, but this selfless act was very touching to me. Before we left we had lunch with them which was very nice.

This is a mosaic that she is having done at her house which I thought looked amazing!

This is a beautiful view of the city.

Here is another apartment building that Gary stayed in when he serving as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It took us awhile to find this building, because they have added more buildings and changed things up a bit.

Here we are in a horse drawn wagon visiting Valle de Piedras Encimadas which literally means "Stacked stones"

Some of the many stone monuments we saw.

All of these stones have names of what they look like, but I can't remember what this one was called.

What would you call this one?
This is the "Family" There is a mom and dad and two children.

Another view of the family
 Camel rock
A wide view of the park
Taking a short break and enjoying the view

A beautiful atmosphere!
Penny was hot so she took advantage of the water and laid down in it..lol!

The rock on the left looks like a dolphin coming out of the water.
In the entrance into the town there is a little waterfall we went to explore called Quetzalapan. It was on a very steep rocky road with lots of pot holes.
This was once a road into town, but is now a walking bridge.
 Local life
In the main square there was a festival going on so there were dancers and a small market going on.
Market

We had a wonderful time in Zacatlan and can't wait to go back! I'm so happy that Gary surprised me with this amazing trip!
